Finding Your Groove is the harmonious state of equal parts mind & body. Everything is turned on & engaged: your thoughts are now, your cells are vibrating, your bones are alive and you feel your energy pulsing. Similar to flow state, your Groove is about total immersion and you are completely absorbed in the moment. Your Groove is full awareness. There is vitality, consciousness and aliveness.

Workshop Flow:
Introduction to each other and the space, general house keeping
Brief psychoeducation & defining of terms (related to group theme)
Guided movement activities that support and synthesize the mind & body connection
Rest, discussion as a group about observations or experiences
Extra stuff:
No dance or structured movement experience is needed.
All movement will be an invitation to meet your body where it is, and bonus– there are no mirrors in the space that we will share!
Water and comfy clothes you can freely move in are recommended. Socks or bare feet, you decide!
We will use a wide variety of music to enhance our exploration: there may be music with or without lyrics, and everything up to 90’s bangers! Music will be unedited.
For baby-carrying: bring whatever wearing device feels most comfy for you & babe to move in

However, it is important to note that we encounter things in everyday life that are therapeutic.
This workshop may provide participants with a sense of engaging in activity that feels therapeutic.
